The Ohio Federation for Children’s Mental Health

Drum Line Kicks Off Celebration

The Ohio Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health (OFFCMH) is a non-profit organization focused on the issues of children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs and their families. Members of the Federation come from all walks of life. Emotional, behavioral or mental health needs cut across all income, educational, geographical, racial, ethnic, and religious groups. They are found among single parents and two-parent families and in birth, adoptive, and foster families.

The Ohio Federation works to develop and implement policies, legislation, funding mechanisms, and service systems that utilize the strengths of families. Its emphasis on advocacy offers families a voice in the formation of national policy, services and supports for children with mental health needs and their families.

We believe in the principles of resiliency to help youth achieve their potential.

The Ohio Federation provides support and advocacy for families, as well as education for families, agencies, systems, and elected and appointed officials.

The Ohio Federation joins with a number of other agencies and groups that share similar goals, objectives, and activities on local, state, and national levels. The Ohio Federation is a member and the Ohio representative organization of the National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health.

Membership is Free for Families! To join, please send an email to federation@namiohio.org with your name, address, phone and email, with the subject line: Join Ohio Federation and Receive All Communications.
