A native
of Cincinnati, Ms. Garner received advanced training in
psychology and counseling from Xavier University in 1999. In
2000, she received her LSW licensure. She was a founder of
the Ohio Federation for Children’s Mental Health in 1998.
She became the organization’s first Executive Director and
has served as the Executive Director of the organization
since. Ms. Garner has been a board member of the National
Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health, has
served as a member of numerous committees, commissions, and
organizations, and has provided consultation for public,
private, and governmental organizations throughout Ohio and
the United States. She is a parent of youth with behavioral
issues. . |

Mr.
Steele received his Master of Education from Springfield
College in Springfield Massachusetts in 1967. He worked in
various mental health and mental retardation agencies before
becoming Director of Children’s Services for Longview State
Hospital in 1975. In 1978 he became the Chief Executive
Office (then Superintendent) of the Millcreek Psychiatric
Center for Children. Mr. Steele retired from his position of
Director of Child and Family Services for Summit Behavioral
Healthcare in 2003 and has served as the General Manager of
the Federation since 2005.
